So I’m still alive and haven’t disappeared from the face of the earth…and I deeply APOLOGISE for neglecting this blog for sooo long without even a farewell! (Sorry!) Gosh it’s been nearly 3 years since I last posted and I really hope that those of you who have signed up to my blog are still willing to stay in touch!
The last time I last posted. I was living in Melbourne, Australia, for a over 2 years, and was working for the online store of one of Australia’s biggest fashion labels. Since then a lot has obviously happened – especially a lot of travelling, and I have now settled back in Wellington, New Zealand.
For the past several months I’ve been working away at a new project – well, business venture. After working in the fashion industry for so many years and being so passionate about fashion as much as I am, I decided that the next big step for me is to try start up my own fashion business.
Those of you who have followed my blog in the past will know very well that I love to shop and keeping myself up to date with the latest trends. Over the years I have collected many beautiful pieces of clothing, shoes, accessories that have grown into a crazy oversized wardrobe that is literally overflowing out my bedroom. I also have a great appreciation for vintage clothing and I think it is about time that I share my precious collection (or ‘museum’ as my partner describes it), to the rest of the world.
With a small budget and being a one-man-team, I’ve decided to start up an online fashion boutique selling new and pre-loved/vintage clothing and accessories. I also source my pieces from all over the world during my frequent travelling, so you will usually find labels and items that are quite unique.
I came up with the name Catwalk Vintage for my boutique because it sums up what I love in fashion and what customers will find in the store. So introducing Catwalk Vintage Online Boutique – An online haven full of stylish and eclectic fashion pieces, all individually hand-picked for the fashionista who loves mixing her wardrobe with timeless vintage pieces and current catwalk trends!
Those of you who have always wanted to start up their own business but felt too frightened or never had the time to get around to it…well here’s my story! Hop on board and join me on my new adventure. It’s all a bit scary and exciting at the same time, but I’m sure it will be a lot of fun too! Stay tuned!xxx
