Nothing Wrong with Hairy Feet..

Eversince I saw these gorgeous Fendi Pony Hair Booties worn by Nini, I fell in love with them instantly. The pony hair adds a touch of shimmer as well as another texture to the black leather, and the subtle stud detailing is an added feature. I spotted these boots almost a year ago and haven’t been all too successful in finding another pair that is even close to these beauties – let alone many pairs of shoes made of pony hair.

However, I’ve been noticing a large influx of ‘hairy’ boots coming out recently, which isn’t too much of a surprise given the rise of the shearling and fur trend. I think designers are now experimenting more with various materials when designing footwear, especially since animal prints and fur have been so popular in past seasons. Also thanks to the creative minds of designers such as Maison Martin Margiela and Alexander Wang who have experimented with these materials in their past designs.

My favourites are the BCBG Mendel boots and the Senso Wilma Booties… contemplating buying the Wilmas at the moment, which also come in black leather and are currently available at Sole Struck. Oh the temptation…
